Prayer services for Jose Aaron Davila, 64, of Crosbyton were held at 7 p.m. Friday, December 11, 1998, in El Calvario Bautista Mission in Crosbyton.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 1998, in the Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Silva, pastor of El Calvario Bautista Mission, and Fred Davila officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Davila died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, in University Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born Aug. 11, 1934, in Sinton. He married Olivia Bustamante on April 30, 1954, in Sinton. He was a member of Calvario Bautista Church. He moved to Crosbyton in 1955. He was a farmer. A son, Arthur Gutierrez, died in 1969.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Audon Gutierrez of Austin and Fred Davila of Odessa; two daughters, Odie Navarro of Crosbyton and Gloria Rendon of Corpus Christi; a brother, Mencho of Sinton; four sisters, Cruz Perez, Tomi DeLa Santos, Rufina Vielma and Amada Sanchez, all of Sinton; and seven grandchildren.
