CROSBYTON (Special) - Walter E. Crawford, 70, died Wednesday in the Crosbyton Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Stewart, pastor of the Harrison Street Baptist Church of Omaha, Neb., officiating.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
A native of Arkadelphia, Ark., he moved to the Crosbyton area in 1926 where he was engaged in farming until his retirement in 1959.
He married Gladys Mosley Dec. 15, 1929, in Floydada.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Joy Jackson of Crosbyton and Mrs. Virginia Jasper of Houston; four brothers, Adrian of Washington, D.C., Nolan of Arkadelphia, Ark., Earl of Floydada and Roy of Felton, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Vela Wilson of California, Mrs. Sue Zimmermin of Arkandelphia, Ark., and Mrs. Verna McSwain of Floydada; and three grandchildren.
