Services for Gladys Crawford, 86, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Sunday November 2, 1997, in the Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Les Griffin, pastor, officiating.Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mrs. Crawford died Thursday, Oct. 30, 1997, in Lubbock´s St. Mary Hospital following an illness.
She was born April 27, 1911, in Wise County, TX and married Walter E. Crawford on Dec. 15, 1929, in Floydada. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1974. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church. She moved to Crosbyton from Wise County in 1920.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy Jackson of Crosbyton and Virginia Horejsi of Tonto Basin, Ariz.; three sisters, Hazel Hay of Roswell, N.M., Nina Largent of Houston and Doris Sheavurne of Gun Barrel City; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
