Martha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Crausbay, who came to Crosby County 86 years ago as a girl, was claimed by death at 3 p.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Care Center after a lengthy illness. She was 90.Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Lester B. Griffin, pastor, officiating.
Interment followed in Crosbyton Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home directed arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers were Noble Hunsucker Jr., Raymon Harris, Jimmy Dunn, Art Griffin, Dink Edinburgh and Tony Edinburgh.
The former Martha Elizabeth Hickman was born Feb. 1, 1895, at Jacksboro. She was married to Charlie Clyde Crausbay Sr. in April 1913 in Crosbyton.
Mrs. Crausbay first moved to Crosby County in 1899.
The family resided on the East Plains for a number of years.
A housewife, Mrs. Crausbay was a member of the Pansy Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Clyde Crausbay of Crosbyton; one grandson, Gary Crausbay; and a great granddaughter, Rhonda Crausbay.
