Transcribed by Bettye OdomHoward was Rufus´ eldest son. He was married to Minnie Howard and they farmed and ranched in the Crosbyton area all their lives.
A Crosby County resident for well over half a century, Mrs. Minnie Crausbay, was claimed by death at 8 a.m. Friday in Lubbock Osteopathic Hospital. She was 84.Funeral rites for Mrs. Crausbay were conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Lee Crouch of Petersburg and the Rev. Henry Salley of Crosbyton officiating.
Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. King Funeral Home directed arrangements.
The former Minnie Howard moved to Texas in 1897 and to this county in 1906. She was married to the late Howard Crausbay on May 4, 1921.
The deceased was a native of Overton County, Tenn.
She is survived by four brothers, Amos and Eris Howard, both of Lubbock, Grady Howard of Crosbyton and Van Howard of Graham, three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Payne of Midland, Mrs. Zura Henderson and Mrs. Mae Hill, both of Tahoka.
