Services for Franklin Monroe Cossey, 83, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 1987 in the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Ramsey, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Cossey died at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 1987 at his residence. Judge Clyde Davis ruled death due to natural causes.

He was born March 13, 1903 in Burnett, Oklahoma and married Julia Belle Erwin December 24, 1930 in Walters, Oklahoma. He worked for J.S. Bridwell for 34 years, then retired and farmed for several years. He moved to this area November 9, 1942 from Wichita Falls, Texas.

Survivors include: Wife; Julia Bell Cossey- Crosbyton; 1 Son: Franklin Lee Cossey - Waco, Texas; 1 Daughter: Bonnie Williams - Crosbyton; 3 Brothers: George Cossey - Wichita Falls, Texas, Ilee Cossey - Clinton, Louisiana, Dane Cossey - Amarillo, Texas; 5 Sisters: Marie Snowden - Wichita Falls, Texas, Buena Haberman - Wichita Falls, Isabel Davis, Wichita Falls, Zelda Adair, Wichita Falls, Ellon Swindle, Pampa, Texas; 5 Grandchildren: Casandra Neckar, Judy Maze, V´Rhett Williams, Derek Cossey, Janna Williams.

Nephews served as Pall Bearers.
