U.S.Flag   CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Ben Leslie Cornelius, 82, of Crosbyton will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Crosbyton Assembly of God Church with Edwin Brooks, pastor, officiating and Mike Casanova assisting.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

He died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at Crosbyton Hospital.

He was born June 29, 1917, in Wickes, Ark. He married Laura Dulaney on Feb. 21, 1964, in Lubbock. He was a member of Assembly of God Church at Crosbyton. He was a retired farmer and had formerly worked for Green Thumb, Crosbyton Cemetery and Ralls Housing Authority. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He moved to Crosbyton in 1982 from McAdoo.

He was preceded in death by a son, Carroll James Howell, on May 13, 1997.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joyce Ruth Lovell in Irving; a brother, Raymond Cornelius of Mena, Ark.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
