Services for Katherine Ann Copeland, 61, of Crosbyton were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Kelley officiating. Burial was be in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
She died Monday, April 19, 2004, at her Crosbyton home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1942 in Crosbyton to Ernest L. and Dora Bales Baxter, both preceded her in death.
She married Travis Lee Copeland Dec. 24, 1959 in Crosbyton. Katherine was a member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church and the South Plains Drifters Travel Club. She was a homemaker and lived in Crosbyton her entire life.
Survivors include her husband, Travis of Crosbyton; two sons, Rodney Copeland his wife, Suzy of Houston and Kevin Copeland and his wife, Dehena of Brownfield; a daughter, Lesia Hartley of Dallas; a brother, Warnell Baxter of Dallas; a sister, Martha Edwards of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Samatha, Alex, Megan, and Trey Copeland, Zach Hartley and Vanessa Carrasco.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Witt, George Brakebill, Ralph Griffith, Wayne Wilburn, Zack Payton, and Trey Copeland. Honorary pallbearers will be the South Plains Drifters.
The family suggests memorials to VistaCare, 1010 Slide Rd., Lubbock, Texas 79416.
