Jan CollierServices for Jeanette (Jan) Collier, 73, of Crosbyton, loving wife, mother and granny, was at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 28, 2005 at the Crosbyton Church of Christ with Terry Ellison, grandson Danny Ellison and William Eudy officiating. Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Collier went to be with her Lord on October 25, 2005 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born April 18, 1932 in Daviess County, KY to Oscar C. and Clara (Bradley) Basham. On June 28, 1952 she married Isham Wade Collier in Owensboro, KY. She moved from Owensboro, KY to Crosbyton in 1986, was a homemaker and a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ. Jan and Wade also served as caretakers of the White River Youth Camp for six years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Lillie Bell Basham.

Survivors include; her husband Wade Collier of Crosbyton, a son Jerry Collier of Lexington, KY, three daughters and their husbands; Belinda and Brooks Ellison of Crosbyton, Paula and Craig Potts of Lubbock, Carla and Joey Bellwood of Owensboro, KY, a brother; Doug Basham of Camden, SC, a sister; Faye Lancaster of Owensboro, KY, 10 grandchildren; Danny Ellison of Crosbyton, Deann Daugherty of Southland, Delynn Wheeler of Caprock, Nicole Morgan of Lexington, KY, Heather McDowell of Utica, KY, Brent Collier of Lexington, KY, Kassidy Potts and Cascey Potts both of Lubbock, Lindsey Blair of Louisville, KY, Laurie Cox of Bowling Green, KY, six great grandchildren; Avery Ellison of Amarillo, Ryne Blair of Louisville, KY, Nick McDowell of Utica, KY, Piper Daugherty of Southland, and two on the way.

Pallbearers were; Roger Daugherty, Jon Wheeler, Danny Ellison, Brent Collier, Cascey Potts and Wesley Nickson.

The family suggests memorials to White River Youth Camp, P.O. Box 455, Crosbyton, Texas 79322

Isham CollierServices for Dr. Isham Wade (Doc) Collier, Jr., 91, of Crosbyton, TX, loving husband, dad, granddad and great granddad, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Crosbyton Church of Christ with Terry Ellison officiating the service, along with grandson Danny Ellison and William Eudy directing the singing service. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Dr. Collier went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Owensboro, KY for 34 years, and a current member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ for 27 years.

He was born on June 6, 1921 in Crosbyton, TX to the late Isham Wade, Sr. and Sarah Irene (Ragle) Collier.

He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Ulysses. On June 28, 1952 he married Jeanette Basham of Owensboro, KY. Dr. Collier practiced chiropractic in Owensboro, KY for 38 years. Upon retirement in 1986, he moved back to his hometown, Crosbyton, TX. Due to demand, he came out of retirement and opened up a Chiropractic office in Crosbyton, where he practiced for 10 years. Upon his second retirement from chiropractic, Wade and Jan served as caretakers of White River Youth Camp for six years. Wade enjoyed golf, fishing, carpentry but his greatest joy was watching his grandchildren play sports. One of his most recent cherished memories was getting to visit New Orleans at the David Thomas home, along with the Potts family, during Christmas in 2012. Wade attended the New Orleans Saints game and enjoyed watching David play in that game.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jeanette, known to most as Jan in October of 2005, a son, Jerry Collier in February of 2006, a daughter, Carla Bellwood in March of 2006 and a sister Rubye Nickson in February of 2008.

Survivors include a daughter, Belinda Ellison and her husband Brooks of Crosbyton, TX; a daughter Paula Potts and her husband Craig of Lubbock, TX; a sister, Pauline Davies of Phoenix, AZ. Ten grandchildren: Danny Ellison of Lubbock, TX; Deann Daugherty and husband Roger of Crosbyton, TX; Delynn Wheeler and husband Jon of Lubbock, TX; Nicole Morgan and husband Tony of Lexington, KY; Heather McDowell and husband Shawn of Pleasant Ridge, KY; Brent Collier of Owensboro, KY; Kassidy Thomas and husband David of Metairie, LA; Casey Potts of Lubbock TX; Lindsey Blair and husband Matt of Albany, Indiana; and Laurie Cox and husband Michael of Pensacola, FL. 17 great grandchildren, Averie Ellison; Piper and Demi Daugherty; Brec and Slay Wheeler, Trevor Morgan, Nicolas McDowell, Jaxon, Rylan and Karis Thomas, Ryne, Luke, Eric, Dylan and Isaac Blair; Anistyn and Hadlee Cox; and two on the way. Several cousins, nieces and nephews, but one special nephew, Don Nickson of Crosbyton who served as Wade and Jan's best man at their wedding. Pallbearers will be Danny Ellison, Roger Daugherty, Jon Wheeler, David Thomas, Casey Potts, Michael Cox and Brent Collier.

Visitation will be held, Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the White River Youth Camp P. O. Box 455 Crosbyton, Texas 79322.
