Obituary

Graveside services for Clayton Merle Coker, 73, of Mart were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 1998, in the Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Woodward, pastor of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial was under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mr. Coker died at 10:47 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple, TX, following an illness.

He was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Crosby County. He left Crosby County in 1942 when he left to serve in the Army in W.W.II. He had lived in Mart, TX, for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lizzie Coker and by 2 brothers.

Survivors include three sisters, Nadyne Williams of Shamrock, June Milligan of Ft. Worth, and Norma Hall of Lubbock; and 3 nieces and 2 nephews.

Pallbearers: Jimmy Karr, Ted Karr, Ross Cash, and C.D. Cash.
