Clayton Dale Cloud of Lubbock, a former Crosbyton resident, was claimed by death about 11 a.m. Monday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple. He was 58.

Memorial rites were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Crosbyton. The Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor, officiated.

Interment in Crosbyton Cemetery was directed by King Funeral Home.

A veteran of World War II, Cloud was a heavy equipment operator.

He served in the India-Berma Theatre during World War II. He served three years as commander of the American Legion Post here.

He was born in St. Paul, Nebraska.

Survivors include one brother, Dr. O.R. Cloud of Spur; one sister, Mrs. Melvin Warren of Calvert; and four nephews.

Pallbearers included: Walter Carroll, Otis Brown, Arnal Fowler, W.T. Scott, Everett Bales and W. W. Robertson.
