CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Joe W. Clements, 78, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Griffin, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Hunt County and moved to Crosbyton in 1964 from Ralls. He married Lola Edwards on Nov. 28, 1928, in Bonham. He was a farmer, a railroad employee and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Allen of Fort Worth; a daughter, Linda Caraway of Lubbock; two brothers, J.B. of Bonham and William of Ladonia; a sister, Pearl Braddock of Joshua; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
