Memorial services for Attie Chappell, a Crosbyton resident 65 years, were at 3 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Chappell was 81.

Officiating for the funeral rites was Loyd Hall, minister of the Church of Christ.

Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home directed arrangements.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Chappell died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. She had suffered a lengthy illness.

A Bosque County native, Mrs. Chappell was married to Brad Chappell on July 12, 1916, in Whitney. He died in 1943.

Survivors include a son, Hugh Bradley of Denton; five daughters, Renda Uilkie of Houston, Frances Davis of Pasadena, Dorothy Lee of Dallas, Virginia Matthews of Sunray and Billye Moyers of Dimmitt; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
