Transcribed by Bettye OdomElby grew up in Fannin Co., with nine brothers and six sisters. Elby moved to Truscott, TX, with his family. On Sept. 5, 1914 he married Laura Gladys Williams. He and Laura continued to live in Truscott for 12 years until 1928. While in Truscott three sons were born to them. Aulvie Weldon was born Oct. 12, 1915. Grady was born Aug. 24, 1917 and died Oct. 18, 1918. Choice Donald, known to most in Crosby County as "C.D." was born Mar. 12, 1926. Elby and Laura moved to Crosby Co. in Feb. 1928 by Model T truck and settled in Webb community on the East Plains. Aulvie and C.D. both attended Webb school. Then in 1932 the Elby Cash family moved into Crosbyton. Elby passed away Aug. 16, 1953.
Aulvie Cash married Christene Maupin Aug. 24, 1938. They have one daughter, Jan, she married Don Fisher.
C.D. Cash married Arvella Howell Sept. 19, 1947. They have two sons, Terry and Gary. Terry married Sandy Reat and Gary married Danice Stone.

CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Laura Gladys Cash, 90, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. today in the Crosbyton Church of Christ with Jim York officiating.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
She died at 3:45 a.m. Monday in the Crosbyton Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Texas. She married Elby Richard Cash on Sept. 5, 1914, in Benjamin. He died in 1953. She moved to Crosby County in 1928. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Aulvie W. of Lubbock and C.D. of Crosbyton; two sisters, Lavada West of Bellflower, Calif., and Audie Richardson of Bowie; three grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.
