CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Margarita Casanova, 79, of Crosbyton will at 10 a.m. today at Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ramon Banda officiating and the Rev. Adam Vasquez assisting.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

She died Dec. 22, 1999, at Crosbyton Hospital. She was born Oct. 24, 1920, in Nordheim.

She married Jesus Casanova on Jan. 9, 1938, in Sinton. He died March 17, 1994.

She was a member of Templo Marantha where she was in the women´s auxiliary. She was a past president of that auxiliary and also a past president of the district auxiliary. She was also deaconess of the church. She moved to Crosbyton from Edcouch in 1956. She was a homemaker.

One of her daughters, Alejandra "Alex" Santos, died Nov. 6, 1998.

She is survived by sons Joaquin Casanova of Crosbyton, the Rev. Marcos Casanova of Corsicana, the Rev. Salome Casanova of Crosbyton, the Rev. Miguel Casanova of Crosbyton, and Norberto Casanova of Dallas; daughters Amelia Arroyo of Crosbyton, Eva Lozano of Ralls, Ema Singleterry of Crosbyton and Priscilla Casanova of Crosbyton; brother Placido Flores of Sinton; sisters Hilaria Flores of Crosbyton and Lupe Acevedo of Crosbyton; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Templo Maranatha, 810 East Aspen, Crosbyton, Texas, 79322. The family will receive friends at 535 South Farmer, Crosbyton, Texas.
