Funeral services for Mrs. Vonceil Byrd, 43, of Levelland were held at 1 p.m. Monday in the George Price Chapel in Levelland, with Samuel Byrd, a Post Church of Christ minister, officiating.Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Directors of Levelland.
Mrs. Byrd died about 9:20 a.m. Friday in Cook Memorial Hospital in Levelland after a lengthy illness.
A native of Hedley, she had lived in Levelland since moving there from Amarillo in 1975.
Survivors include two sons, Bert and Sammy, both of Slaton; three daughters, Mrs. Wynette Robinson and Mrs. Sissy Edwards, both of Levelland and Miss LaVonda Byrd of Slaton a brother, Jack Nall of Amarillo; four sisters, Mrs. Ann Walker of Brownwood, Mrs. Masie Heath of Amarillo, Mrs. Nita Byrd of Slaton and Mrs. Delia Lee of Lufkin; and two grandchildren.
