Services for Mabel Morris Byars, 85, of Crosbyton were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 1990, at Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor, officiating. Rev. Charles Broadhurst, pastor of Friona First Baptist Church, assisted.Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, Nov. 3, 1990 in the Palmer County Community Hospital in Friona after a lengthy illness.
She was born in 1904 in Hico. She married Joe Robinett in 1923 in Kalgary. He preceded her in death. She married Fount Byars in Crosbyton in 1970. He died in 1980. She was a homemaker and had been a nurse in Spur and Crosbyton. She was a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School.
