Alcie Wade Butler, a Crosbyton resident since 1961, was claimed by death about 6 a.m. Monday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. He had been hospitalized slightly over two weeks.
Mr. Butler was 75.
Memorial services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Johnnie Williams, pastor of the local church, and the Rev. Bill Kent, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Dalhart, officiated.
Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home directed arrangements.
Mr. Butler retired in 1961, when he moved to Crosbyton, as a division superintendent of Mobil Pipe Line. He started with Mobil in the company´s Dallas office and later lived in Longview, Rodessa, La., Andrews, Midland, and Brownfield while associated with the oil firm.
Mr. and Mrs. Butler resided at 617 South Grain.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge #303 AF&AM and of the First United Methodist Church in Crosbyton.
Born Nov. 2, 1903 in Ellis County, Alcie Wade Butler was married to the former Susie Inez Edgemon on June 12, 1925 at Mansfield.
Survivors in addition to Mrs. Butler, include: one son, Robert Wade Butler of Crosbyton; one daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Dot) Tidwell of McAdoo; three grandchildren, Dorie Anne Butler of Crosbyton, Bill Tidwell and Bobby Tidwell, both of McAdoo; two great grandchildren, Corly Tidwell and Billy Tidwell of McAdoo; three brothers, Lynn Butler of Alice, Leroy Butler an Loyd Butler, both of Corsicana.

CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Susie Inez butler, 85, of Crosbyton will be at 4 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wendell Horn, pastor, officiating.
The Rev. David Treat, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Andrews, will assist, and burial in Crosbyton Cemetery will be directed by Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Butler died at 10:20 a.m. Monday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Mansfield and moved from Brownfield to Crosbyton in 1961. She was a homemaker. She married Alcie Wade Butler on June 12, 1925, in Mansfield. He died May 28, 1979.
She was a Methodist and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Crosbyton Senior Citizens and had taught school in Tarrant County.
Survivors include a son, Robert W. "Bob" of Crosbyton; a daughter, Dot Tidwell of McAdoo; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
