Obituary

  CROSBYTON (Special) - Graveside services for Edward "Bullet" Burks, 66, of Crosbyton were held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 1997, in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Leonard Harper, minister of the Crosbyton Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mr. Burks died at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997, in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital following an illness.

He was born Sept.15, 1931, in Starkville, MS. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was a Prisoner of War for several years.

Survivors include a son, Michael Burks; a brother, Jack Burks of Columbus, MS; and three sisters, Tomasine Reese of Starksville, MS, Billie Langford and Ann Newman, both of Columbus, MS.
