CROSBYTON (Special) - Graveside services for Eugene Burgess, 41, of Ontario, Calif., and formerly of Crosbyton will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Eugene Gentry, pastor at Galilee Baptist Church in Crosbyton, officiating.Burial will be under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Burgess died from injuries in a car wreck at 3:15 a.m. Friday in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
He was born Jan 7, 1944, in Kosse.
Survivors include his father, L.D. Burgess of Crosbyton; a son, Eugene "Geno" Burgess Jr., of California; two daughters, Amelia and Delerta, both of California; three brothers, L.D. Burgess Jr., and Ocie Burgess, both of Lubbock, and Billy Fletcher Burgess of Houston; and three sisters, Lillian Moore and Jimmie Lang, both of Crosbyton, and Elsie Clark of Lockney.
