Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Lester Britton, 73, of Crosbyton, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Floyd Bradley of First Baptist Church in Floydada officiating.

Burial will follow in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 11 p.m. Saturday at Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born Sept. 25, 1909, in Stephenville, and married Irene Warren Aug. 2, 1930, in Floydada. He moved to Crosbyton in August 1980 from Seymour.

A retired minister, he had pastored several churches. He had been caretaker of Crosbyton Cemetery for two and a half years.

He was a member of First Baptist Church here.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Jo Kirby of Allen and June Ellis of Crosbyton; two sons, Bobby Britton of Slaton and James Britton of Lawton, OK.
