Services for Orion W. "Boots" Brister, 79, of Crosbyton were conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, February 2, 1990 in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin officiating.Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 1990 in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Ballinger and moved to Crosbyton in the early 1930s. He married Eva Nell Hale June 22, 1940, in Crosbyton. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He owned Brister´s Clock Shop. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 1020 and of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Nell Brister, two daughters, Mary Himmell of Crosbyton and Charlotte McKee of Saginaw; two sisters Vauda Gierhard of Shamrock and Alphea Stockton of Hobbs, NM; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services for Eva Nell Brister, 87, of Crosbyton will be at 1 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2009 in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Rev. Lester Griffin officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Eva Nell passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009 in the Crosbyton Hospital. She was born August 9, 1921 in Jones County to the late Bob and Winnie (Goodwin) Hale. On June 22, 1940 she married Orion Wright "Boots" Brister in Crosby County. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1990. Eva Nell lived in Crosby County most of her life and was a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church. She worked as a dispatcher and deputy for Crosby County Sheriff's Department for 28 years.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Hale, and two sisters, Jenny Paschall and Lorene Blagg. Survivors include two daughters, Mary and Charlotte; a brother, Goodwin Hale; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
