CROSBYTON (Special) - Graveside services for Clifford Perry "Blackie" Bradberry, 83, of Spur will be at 2 p.m. today in Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Henderson, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Spur, officiating.Burial will be under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Bradberry died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1913, in Texas. He married Faye Shipman in 1977 in Spur. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Spur Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He moved to Spur from Brownwood in 1981. He was a heavy machine operator with road construction, and he was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Gay Simmons of Leslie, Ark.; three stepdaughters, Judy Bales of Crosbyton, Jerry Land of Dickens and Kay Fong of Spur; a stepson, Clifford Shipman of Midland; a sister, Tincy Wright of Hobbs, N.M.; 14 stepgrandchildren; and 15 great-stepgrandchildren.
