CROSBYTON (Special) Mrs. Jewel Boyd, 74, of Crosbyton died at 10:50 p.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Hospital after a brief illness.Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Crosbyton Church of Christ. Bill Bryant, minister of Parkway Church of Christ in Lubbock, will officiate. He will be assisted by Roger Turner, minister of the local church.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery directed by King Funeral Home.
A native of McCullough County, Mrs. Boyd came to the Crosbyton area in 1915 and married Frank Boyd in 1920.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Boyd; a daughter, Mrs. Chick Edwards of Crosbyton; a brother, William T. Douglass of Montgomery, Ala.; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Frank Boyd were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Johnnie Williams, pastor, and Bill Bryant, retired minister from Lubbock, officiated.
King Funeral Home directed burial in Crosbyton Cemetery.
Mr. Boyd, 77, lived nearly his entire life in Crosby County. He was engaged in trucking.
He died about 3 a.m. last Thursday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. He had been in failing health for some time.
Born September 3, 1897 in Johnson County, Boyd and the former Jewel Douglas were married January 18, 1921. Mrs. Boyd preceded her husband in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Georgia Edwards of Crosbyton; one brother, R.C. Boyd of Lubbock; three granddaughters and four great grandchildren.
