FORMER RESIDENT DIES AT HOME NEAR LEVELLAND SEPT 11
R. F. Blankenship Bured in Crosbyton Cemetery Tuesday Afternoon
R. F. Blankenship, 48, died Monday night, Sept. 11, at 8:30 o'clock at his home near White Face. Funeral services were held Tuesday evening at 4 o'clock at the Church of Christ in Crosbyton with Elder F. S. Vance conducting the services. He was buried in the Crosbyton cemetery with Davis Mason Funeral Company of Levelland in charge, assisted by A. A. Hatchell, undertaker of this city.

Mr. Blankenship was for a long time a resident of Crosbyton, moving to Whiteface a few years ago. He was born near Nashville, Tenn., August 22, 1885, and was married to Miss Ellen Stockton, June 10, 116 Crosbyton. He is survived by his wife, four sisters and one brother. Mrs. J. T. Driver, Crosbyton; Mrs. J. E. Moran, Greenswood, Miss., Mrs. B. A. Mitchell, Sudan; Miss Ruby Blankenship, Crosbyton; Joe Blankenship of Colorado. All were present at the funeral with the exception of one sister, Mrs. Moran, and the brother.Pallbears were: George Pipkin, Ed Latham, Carl Wren, D. H. Dyer, A. D. Alston, and Dell Anderson.
