Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for John M. Blackburn, 80, of Crosbyton, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor of the Fist Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery.

Blackburn died about midnight Saturday at Central Plains Hospital in Plainview following a brief illness.

The Blunt Springs, Ala., native moved to Crosbyton from Merkel in 1943. He married Kate Tyler on Dec. 25, 1918, in Merkel. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Lola Pyle of Sweetwater and Mrs. Sally Horton of Merkel.
