Bobby Beckham was born 4/3/35 at home near the Big Four Community. For 18 years he was on the Lubbock fire department. He moved back to Crosbyton in 1971 and was a carpenter until his death 1999. He was a member of the Crosbyton volunteer fire department also.
He was a youth sports coach in Lubbock and Crosbyton and coached the only Crosbyton Little League all star team to ever win area and advance to district competition. He was also a member of the South Plains Coin Club.
His father was Charles(Charley) Beckham and his mother was Edith Beckham. He had one sibling Betty Nell Beckham Hawkins.His mother Edith Beckham, the daughter of Elder A.W. Pyron and Nancy Ellen Parker Pyron.

ObituaryServices for Bobby Charles Beckham, 64, of Crosbyton were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 15, 1999, at Crosbyton Cemetery. Monte and Randy Beckham officiated.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died Monday, Apr. 12, 1999 at his residence.
He was born Apr. 3, 1935, in Crosbyton.
He was a member of the Downtown Bible Class. He was a graduate of Crosbyton High School and helped as a sports coach when his boys were in school. He was a fire fighter for 18 years with the City of Lubbock. He was a member of the South Plains Coin Club. He lived in Crosbyton all his life.
Survivors include two sons, Monte Beckham and wife Audrey, and Randy Beckham and wife Sharon, all of Shallowater; one sister, Betty Hawkins of Mountain Home, AR; one nephew, Bobby Layton of Omaha, NE; 6 grandchildren, Tavia, Beckham, Ben Beckham, Charlie Beckham, Amanda Beckham, Brandon Beckham, and Abbey Beckham.
