Obituary

Funeral rites for Wade W. Barrington, 74, were read at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Primitive Baptist Church with L.M. Handley of Crosbyton officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

Barrington, who had resided in Morton 10 days since moving there from Crosbyton, died about 4 a.m. Tuesday in the hospital in Morton after a sudden illness.

A native of Mills County, he moved to McAdoo in 1926 and later to Crosbyton where he operated a shoe shop. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Clyde of Lubbock; two daughters, Mrs. E.C. Hale of Morton and Mrs. C.R. Herring of Midland; a brother, Jessie of Roby; three sisters, Mrs. Olan Neal of Lamesa, and Mrs. Billy Mathis and Mrs. Jackie Tate, both of Muleshoe; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary E. Barrington, 77, a former longtime Crosbyton resident, was buried Friday in Crosbyton Cemetery following 1:30 p.m. Friday memorial services in the Primitive Baptist Church in Levelland. Elder H.B. Handley of Crosbyton conducted.

Mrs. Barrington was killed when the ambulance in which she was riding was involved in a collision.

She resided on Route One, Morton, where she moved in 1970 following the death of her husband.

Mrs. Barrington was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Levelland.

Survivors include one son, C.W. Barrington of Lubbock; two daughters, Mrs. E.C. Hale of Morton and Mrs. C. R. Herring of Midland; two sisters; 14 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren.
