Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Alice Barnett, 76, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Crosbyton First Baptist Church. Rev. Otis Testerman officiated, assisted by Thomas Compton, Church of Christ minister, and Rev. Bill Kent, Methodist pastor.
Mrs. Barnett died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday at her home here following a lingering illness. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
Born at Grafton, Mrs. Barnett moved to Crosby County in 1920. The family lived on the East Plains for many years, and she moved to Crosbyton a few years ago following her husband´s death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bob Steen, Garden Grove, Calif.; Mrs. C.B. Leatherwood, Crosbyton, and Mrs. R. L. Blankenship, McAllen; four sons, Truman of Crosbyton, H.B. of Lubbock, Jack of Plainview and Carl of San Bernardino, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Poore and Mrs. Vic Bartlett of Floydada; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
