Funeral services for John H. Barnes, 63, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the King Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Stewart, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery.
Barnes, a resident of Crosby County since 1914, died about 2 p.m. Friday in John Sealy Hospital in Galveston following a lengthy illness.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Wallace Shipman of Spur and Mrs. Douglas Butler of Lubbock; a son, Johnnie of Lakewood, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Delbert Fowler of Avenale, Colo., and Mrs. Fred Lewis of Pueblo, Colo., a brother, Kenneth of Burbank, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
