Rosary for Anastacio A. "Tacho" Barboza, 93, of Crosbyton was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007 at the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton with Deacon Nasario "Charlie" Rubalcado officiating. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2007 in the same church. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.Mr. Barboza passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 in Lubbock. He was born April 18, 1914 in Cameron, Texas to the late Benino and Luz (Alvarado) Barboza. He married Olvia Ojeda who preceded him in death May 31, 1966. He is also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Barboza, one brother, one sister and four great grandchildren.
A resident of Crosbyton for many years, Tacho was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church and worked for the City of Crosbyton for several years.
Survivors include nine sons, Manuel and Alfredo of Crosbyton, Andrew, Tony, Ricky, Johnny and Bennie, all of Lubbock, Antonio of Fort Worth and Manuel of Gardina, Calif.
Seven daughters, Eva Sifuentes of Ralls, Martha Rodriguez and Rosa Ramirez, both of Abernathy, Olga Flores of Crosbyton, Lucy Gonzales of Florida, Julia Gonzales of Colorado Springs, Co. and Mary Robledo of Big Spring; one brother, Dionisio Barboza of Lubbock and one sister, Bernerdina Hernandez of Dallas; 65 grandchildren; 128 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
