Elizabeth Ann (Annie) Ancell was claimed by death at 5:23 p.m. Thursday at Methodist Hospital after a sudden illness. A resident of the Lubbock State School, she became ill there and was rushed to the hospital less than 1 1/2 hours before her death.
Miss Ancell was 25.
Memorial services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church. Reginald Bridges, chaplain of Lubbock State School, and the Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiated.
Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Annie Ancell was born May 31, 1956, in Seminole. She came to Crosbyton with her parents and moved to Lubbock in 1970.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ancell of Crosbyton; one brother, Tom Ancell of Crosbyton; one sister, Tracy Ancell of Crosbyton; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Folsom of Jasper.
