Funeral rites for Oliver Allen, 59, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church. Allen died about 12:10 p.m. Nov. 25 in the Crosbyton hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.
The Rev. Floyd Schaeffer, former Assembly of God minister here, officiated, assisted by the Rev. J.K. Pratt, pastor of Assembly of God Church, and the Rev. Ernest Stewart, pastor of First Baptist Church.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
Allen, who had worked as a carpenter, moved here in 1948 from Ringland, Okla., where he was born.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Francis Williams of Altus, Okla.; two sons, Harold of Crosbyton and Wayne of Binger, Okla.; two brothers, John of Marietta, Okla., and Reese of Ringland; four sisters, Mrs. Bell Smith of Ardmore, Okla., Mrs. Ruby Doss of Ringland, and Mrs. Callie Boone and Mrs. Bertha Skidmore, both of Wilson, Okla.; and seven grandchildren.

CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Elizabeth Allen, 74, of Crosbyton will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Vance Mitchell, pastor of Walters, Okla., Assembly of God Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
She died at 8:35 p.m. Monday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Ninnekah, Okla., and moved to the Crosbyton area in 1948. She married Oliver Thomas Allen on Dec. 23, 1931, in Ringling, Okla. He died in 1970. She was a homemaker. She was a Sunday school teacher and secretary-treasurer at Crosbyton Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two sons, Harold of Ralls and Wayne of Big Spring; a daughter, Mary Turquette of Lubbock; three brothers, Bonnie Doss and Everet Doss, both of Ringling, and Ray Doss of Maysville, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
