Elenora Rae Allen, 77, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on May 24, 1938 in Cogar, OK to the late Edgar and Beaulah (Mitchum) Frederick. She was hard-working yet mild mannered and had a love for cooking, reading, and watching Wheel of Fortune. Elenora was slow to anger and quick to forgive. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Elenora was preceded in death by a daughter; Rebecca Lynn Allen; two brothers, Edgar Leslie and Johnny Wayne Frederick; and a grandson; Christopher Blake Allen.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda Strickland of Lubbock; two sons; Ronald Allen of Wolfforth and David Allen of Lubbock; her two sisters; Linda Faye Anthony of Cement, OK; Delilah Mae Stevens of Mustang, OK; her brother; William Wylie Frederick of El Reno, OK; six grandchildren; Steven Allen; Bradley Allen; Cecilia Rebekah Allen; Holly Matthews; Elizabeth Pena; and Ryan Strickland; and seven great- grandchildren; Tess, Brayson, Carlton (Buff), Seth, Taylor, Griffin, and Amanda.
A visitation is scheduled from 6-7 pm on Friday, June 19 at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 20 at the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
