Lena Sikes Alexander, a Crosbytonite for almost 40 years, was claimed by death at 3:38 a.m. Saturday at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. She had suffered a prolonged illness.
At 90, Mrs. Alexander was among the community´s older residents.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church of Crosbyton. The Rev. Billy Wiley of Crosbyton officiated.
Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home directed arrangements.
Born April 15, 1895, in Washington County, Tex., she was married to Robert Alexander in November 1932 in McLennan County. Mr. Alexander preceded his wife in death in 1952.
A housewife, Mrs. Alexander was a member of the Shilo Baptist Church in Ralls.
Survivors include one son, Colbert Munson of Crosbyton; a daughter, Vileen Jones of Fort Worth; two sisters, Annie Criner and Dorothy Jones, both of Monahans; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
