Funeral services for J.E. Alexander, 85, were held Saturday morning in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Grizzle, officiating. The Rev. Grizzle was assisted by the Rev. C.M. Fields, Baptist pastor of Ralls.
Masonic graveside services were held at Crosbyton Cemetery and burial was under direction of King Funeral Home. Alexander died last Thursday morning in the Crosbyton hospital.
Born in Caddo Mills, he formerly resided in Des Moines, New Mexico, where he farmed and ranched for about 40 years. He moved to a farm near Crosbyton about two years ago. He was a member of the York Rites, the Scottish Rites and the Shrine.
Surviving are his wife, Betty, and two daughters, Mrs. A.R. Williams of New Deal and Mrs. Carolyn Green of Amarillo.

CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Betty Alexander, 97, of Crosbyton will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alexander died at 12;45 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary of the Plains Hospital in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Itasca and moved from New Mexico to Crosbyton in 1962. Her husband, John Edward Alexander, died in 1964. She had taught school in Taos, NM. and Des Moines, NM. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
