PersonalGene Clifton was the second child of Gordon and Clara Lee Woford. He married Jane Cannon July 18, 1948. They had one child, Karla Jan.
Gene served in World War II in the Marine Corp. After the war he worked as a Highway Parolman several years and later went into real estate business. He was employed by Texas Real Estate Commission and was a real estate examiner beginning 1960. He was administrator of the Dallas Real Estate Region V and lived in Richardson.
Obituary
Gene Clifton Wofford, born in Ralls, June 10, 1928, to Gordon and Clara Lee Wofford, resident of Richardson, TX, since 1965, died at home Apr. 18, 1999.
Mr. Wofford was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He retired from the Texas Real Estate Commission in 1987.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan Wofford Hansen, and son-in-law, Arthur Mark Hansen, of Richardson.
Burial was in Cone under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
