Services for Clarence Henry Verett, 84, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 1992, in Emma Church of Christ with Vance Davis, minister, and James Eubank of Brady and Kevin Verett of Waco officiating.

Burial was in Cone Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 4:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 1992, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 29, 1907 in Montague County. He married Dean DeHart on March 27, 1937, in Ralls. He was a farmer until retiring in 1964. He was a former president of the Crosby County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and was the first president of the Crosby County Fuel Association. He served on the Ralls Cemetery Association Board of Directors. He was a member of the Church of Christ, where he was a deacon. He moved to the Ralls area in November of 1917 from Montague County, Texas. He was preceded in death by two sons, C.H. Jr., who died Aug. 13, 1952, and Harold who died on Jan. 17, 1974.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Eddie and Steve, both of Ralls, Elvin of Lubbock and Kevin of Waco; two brothers, C.A. of Abilene and Paul of Irving; three sisters, Nellie Sessom of Ralls, Jean Pepper of Sabinal and Mae Reynolds of Athens, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

RALLS (Special) — Services for Dean Verett, 79, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. today at Emma Church of Christ with Ken Free, minister, and Kevin Verett officiating.

Burial will be in Cone Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

She died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 1996, at Crosbyton Hospital.

She was born Dec. 21, 1916, in Hamilton. She married Clarence Verett on March 27, 1937, in Ralls. He died Aug. 28, 1992. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Garden Club, Band Parents, Parent-Teacher Association and the Quilting Club. She was a Cub Scout leader.

She was a homemaker. Two sons preceded her in death; C.H. Jr. on Aug. 13, 1952, and Harold on Jan. 17, 1974.

Survivors include four sons, Eddie of Ralls, Kevin of Waco and Elvin and Steve, both of Lubbock; two sisters, Hortense Jackson of Cone and Rachael Nance of Floydada; 14 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
