Rites For Longtime Ralls Resident Set
RALLS, Dec. 17 (Special) — Funeral services will be held at the Cone Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Wednesday for Miss Virginia Dee Sawyer, 88, a Ralls area resident since 1909.
Miss Sawyer died unexpectedly at her home here and her body was found by relatives today. She came to this area from Hill County.
The Rev. Earnest Jennings, Boston, Mass., will officiate at funeral services. Burial will be in Cone Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.
Miss Sawyer is survived by two sisters, Mrs. G.J. Ragle, Ralls, and Mrs. Maggie Files, Itasca.
Pallbearers will be Russell Noble, George Noble, J.D. Travis, W.T. Reed, and B.F. Priddy, all of Ralls; and Lester Cowan, Petersburg.
