Walter Noble, 64, Buried at Cone Wednesday
Walter R. Noble, 64, pioneer Crosby county resident, died at his home in Portales, N.M., late Monday. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Cone school auditorium with Rev. P.D. Fullingim of Tatum, N.M., and Rev. Horace Crabb of Cone officiating.
Noble came to Crosby county in 1891. He grew up in the Cone community and farmed there for many years. He had been living in Portales the past few years.
Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Eugene of Denver and Eldrid of Portales; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jones and Mrs. Lorane Gaullan, both of Portales, and one brother, Lee Noble of Floydada.
Pallbearers were John Noble, Russell Noble and George Noble, all of Ralls, Bob Noble of Tulia, Jack Cartwright of Dimmitt and Murphy Chapman, Ralls.
Burial was in the Coine cemetery.
