Obituary

J. Russell Noble, 65, a Ralls resident, died about 8:45 p.m. Monday in the Crosbyton Hospital following a sudden illness.

Born in Cone, Noble had lived in this area all of his life. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Ralls Lions Club and was an insurance agent.

Services are pending with Carter Funeral Home in Ralls.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; four sons, Bob, Lubbock, Wade Noble, serving with the U.S. Army in Germany, Bailey Noble with the Marine Corp. in Carlsbad, Calif., and Max Noble with the Air Force in Germany; three daughters, Mrs. Hoyt Chappell of Crosbyton, Mrs. Harvey Everet of Hurst, Mrs. Tom Oats of Ralls; a brother, John Noble of Amarillo; 24 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Ruth NobleServices for Ruth Noble, 96, of Ralls will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 18, 2004 at the Ralls First United Methodist Church with , Rev. Gary Don Newman, Rev. Ellen Willett and Rev. Larry Reed-Farris officiating. Burial will be in the Cone Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

She passed away Monday, November 15, 2004 at the Ralls Nursing Home.

She was born October 3, 1908 in Lamar County to Tom L. and Amanda Lemotie (Guthrie) Davis. On October 31, 1925 she married Jefferson Russell Noble, he preceded her in death on September 18, 1972.

She was a homemaker and member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Cone High School in 1925.

She is preceded in death by two sons; Bob Noble in 2001 and Max Noble in 1982. Survivors include two sons; Wade Noble of Lawton, OK, Bailey Noble of Carlsbad, CA, three daughters; Lucyle Chappell of Crosbyton, Grace Harvey of Hurst, Betty Oats of Lubbock, two brothers; Clay Davis of Paris, Tom Davis, Jr. of Ft. Worth 23 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be; Gene Chappell, Rusty Chappell, Carl Noble, Zane Noble, Brent Noble, Dal Burrows, Avid Noble, Tom Harvey, Freeman Harvey and Joe Noble.
