Services for Rachel Nance, 91, of Cone were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 1998, at New Salem Primitive Baptist Church with her family officiating.
Burial was in the Cone Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Wednesday, May 20, 1998, at Floydada Rehabilitation & Care Center.
She was born Sept. 16, 1906, in Hill County, TX.
She was a member of the New Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Floydada. She moved to the Cone area in the early 1920´s. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Ellis Carl "Beck" Nance who died June 20, 1966; and by 2 sisters, Dean Verett who died Oct. 23, 1996, and by Hortense Jackson who died on Sept. 24, 1997.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
