LUBBOCK — Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Monnie Landmon, 65, of Lubbock this evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the funeral home with burial following in the Cone Cemetery.

Our beloved Tinker died on Thursday, July 25, 2013. She was born on Jan. 19, 1948, to the late John and Mary (Brown) Freeman in Birmingham, Ala. She moved to Lubbock as a child and graduated from Lubbock High School. Tinker's passion was remodeling her investment properties and she was instrumental with the fundraising and remodeling the Early Learning Centers. She loved spending time in her flower garden and planning family gatherings. Along with her parents, Tinker was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Freeman and Rusty Freeman, and a sister, Sarah Chester.

Survivors include Bill Galbreath[sic]; a son, Wes McDaniel; a daughter, Stephanie Landmon; a brother, Frank Freeman and wife Cynthia, all of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Ashley McDaniel Clawson and husband Jeff, Bryan McDaniel, Monnie Lewis, and Mackenzie Lewis; two great-grandchildren, Harper Clawson and Beckett Clawson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
