Another life on earth is ended,
Another voice is still,
Another soul has gone to rest
In response to the Master´s will.

A precious flower has bloomed on earth,
It´s life of fragrance rare.
Has been transplanted in paradise
In glory to bloom over there.

Then why should we with tear stained eyes
Try to call her back again,
While in the presence of our Lord,
She´s free from every earthly pain.

Another tie in heaven is planted,
A jewel shining bright,
To meet us on that golden shore,
Where never never come no night.

Another life to wait in peace,
In mansions bright and fair,
Until we gather around the throne
To dwell for ever there.

The hand of death invaded our community early Saturday morning, Nov. 5, 1921, and taken from (our) midst Mrs. Ruth Gott Hopkins.

Perhaps no one in this community was known to more people than she; and no one had more friends, because to know her was to love her. Her life was a life of cheerfulness, kissing away despondency and sadness, driving the clouds of dreariness away, thus as a sunbeam, she brought cheer and happiness, gladdening the lives of others along her pathway here on earth. She was modest, refined and cultured.

Being an accomplished musician, her playing united with her sweet voice was a place in the lives of every person ever she met. Though she has ceased her singing and playing here, in heaven she plays the golden harp and there her angelic voice will sing more sweetly than ever before.

She was born near Cone, Texas, Nov. 14th, 1900, and died Nov. 5, 1921, being 20 years, 11 months, and 21 days old. When about 10 years old she was converted and joined the Methodist Church at Cone, and remained a devoted member until her death.

On December 5th, 1920, she was united in wedlock to Mr. Roy Hopkins of Cone, Texas.

She leaves to morn [sic] her departure, a father, mother and one sister, her beloved husband and a precious little baby two weeks old.

The funeral services were conducted by the writer, assisted by Rev. J. A. Laney, of the Methodist Church of Ralls, Texas, in the presence of a multitude of morning [sic] friends, after which her remains laid to rest in the Cone Cemetery.

To GOD we comment all
of the bereaved who morn [sic] her departure
for it will be only a short time till
We shall meet upon the golden shore,
Where sad parting will be o´er.

Naomi "Ruth" Gott married Roy Hopkins on the 5 December 1920. She had a daughter, Johnnie Ruth Hopkins (now Tarleton   Note: Johnnie Ruth's husband, Mac Tarleton is buried in Ralls Cemetery.) Ruth died from child birth on 5 November 1921 in Cone, Crosby County, Texas. Ruth was born 14 November 1900. She is buried in the Cone Cemetery near the Gotts (her parents & baby brother)...Chad & Mamie Gott & Welton Gott.

Roy moved to Oklahoma. Roy married a lady named Lily after Ruth died. Johnnie Ruth (his daughter) grew up with Chad & Mamie Gott in Ralls. In 1930 census, Roy was living in Headrick, Jackson County, Oklahoma. Roy & Lily had 2 sons & 2 daughters.
