R.E. Harris, 66, Buried Wed. At Cone Cemetery
R.E. Harris, 66, a resident of Crosbyton until a few months ago, died about 9 a.m. Monday at a hospital in Arlington, where he had been a patient for some time. Mr. Harris had been in ill health for the past two years.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the home of a sister, Mrs. Sue Tomlinson, in the Farmer community. Rev. W.R. Dale, pastor of the Primitive Baptist church of Stanton, officiated. He was buried in the Cone cemetery under direction of Marr Funeral home.
Mr. Harris had been a resident of Crosby county since 1912, farming in the Farmer community and later living in Ralls. He moved to Crosbyton several years ago.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Inez Goode of Mansfield, Miss Lucille Harris of Abilene, and Agnes and Edith, daughters whose married names were not known here; three brothers, J.E. Harris and R.C. Harris, both of Ralls, and W.T. Harris of Belton; two sisters, Mrs. Tomlinson of Farmer and Mrs. Mary Reed of Amarillo and four grandchildren.
