Services for Martha Joy Botkin, 81, of Floydada, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 24, 2010 at West Side Church of Christ in Floydada with Dennis Dees officiating. Burial will follow in the Cone Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Martha passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 in Lubbock. She was born July 10, 1929 in Cone to the late Olan Thomas and Mildred Juanita (Patterson) Marshall. On April 15, 1949 she married R.Q. "Doc" Botkin in Crosby County. He preceded her in death December 10, 2001.
Martha was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in Floydada and a resident of Floydada. She spent her life as a loving and dedicated homemaker, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by a brother, J.B. "Jocko" Marshall, and a sister, Sue Binder.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Rick and Leticia Botkin of Amarillo; a daughter and her husband, Connie and Nathan Johnson of South Plains, a sister Bobbie Lee of Idalou, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren with one on the way.
Serving as casket bearers will be Tracey Johnson, Troy Johnson, Marshall Allen, Cody Allen, Brad Allen and Stacy Binder.
Visitation will be from 5-6 PM Saturday at Adams Funeral in Ralls.
