Bill Ashley, 75, of Ralls, died Monday, June 19, 2006 at his home. Bill was born in Canton, Texas on October 7, 1930 to the late Kirby Leroy and Eva May (Townsend) Ashley. On June 4, 1949 he married Grace Sawyer in Lubbock, Texas. He moved from Canton to Cone in 1948 and farmed in the Cone area for many years. He was a member of the Community Bible Chapel, had served as a Trustee of the Lorenzo Schools, and took care of the Cone Cemetery. He is preceded in death by a son, Mark Bradley Ashley who died June 19, 1989 and by a brother Wendell Ashley.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Ashley of Ralls, a daughter, Chris Lawson of Floydada, a brother Larry Ashley of Ralls, a sister Patsy Ruth Little of Kingswood, Texas, a granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole Ashley and a great granddaughter, Kalli Brooke Workman.
