U.S.Flag   Services for Norman Nesby Young, 72, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Progressive Baptist Church with Homer Avery Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Ossie Curry Funeral Home.

He died Monday, April 5, 1999, at UMC Hospital in Lubbock.

He was born April 26, 1926, in Lorenzo. He moved to Lubbock many years ago from Lorenzo. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1985 after 25 years of service. He was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Young of Vancouver, Canada, and Justin Young of Salinas, Calif.; two daughters, Daisy M. Carter of San Jose, Calif. and Emma L. Flake of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Norveal Young of Lubbock and Birtis Young of Lovington, N.M.; two sisters, Mable Young and Opal Thomas, both of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Ossie Curry Funeral Home.
