Mount Zion Cemetery following 2 p.m. Tuesday memorial services in the Mount Zion Baptist Church. The Rev. Billy Joe Wiley and the Rev. Frank Williams officiated.

Carter Funeral Home directed arrangements.

Mr. Rogers was claimed by death Thursday night in West Texas Hospital in Lubbock after a brief illness.

The Austin native had lived in Cone for 20 years.

He is survived by four brothers, Sam Coleman and Jessie Brush, both of Crosbyton, L.V. Rogers of Houston and Willie Rogers of Austin; and three sisters, Nettie and Charlie Coleman, both of Austin, and Bernice of Houston.
