Josie Daneils photo LUBBOCK- Josie Clora Watkins-Daniels, aka Bae, 86, passed away on November 9, 2012. She was born on December 24, 1925 to the union of the late Curtis Randy Watkins and Jimmie Zelner Mann-Watkins. She was married to the late Lobris Hightower and had 2 daughters from this union. Later she married the late Charles Edward Daniels and had 3 children from this union. Josie was a member of Friendship Holy Baptist Church #1 and a devout Christian. She worked and retired from the Lubbock State School. Josie lived in Europe and throughout the U.S. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking and fishing. She was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnne Broussard; her sister, Jessie Matthews; and her brother, Prenis Clyde Lewis. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Cherry Hightower, Carroll Boudier, Charles E. Daniels, Charlotte (Woodell) Payne; special daughter, Mary Butter; two sisters, Ocie Watkins and Jean Wilborn; one brother, Edward (Linda); one uncle, Bishop Forest Mann; two aunts, Leo Mae Mann and Charlie Mae Mann; a special friend, Hazel Thompson; 18 grandkids; 36 great-grand kids; 38 great-greatkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Friendship Holy Baptist Church #1 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at City of Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
